New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association - Black History Month 2026 Spotlight
Honored to be recognized in this year’s Black History Month feature highlighting the legacy of the 1999 U.S. Women’s National Team.
That team changed the trajectory of women’s sports forever. Playing in front of 90,185 fans at the Rose Bowl was more than a championship moment — it was a cultural shift.
From Princeton High School to Rutgers, to Olympic gold in Atlanta, to the 1999 World Cup, I’m proud of the journey and grateful for the teammates, coaches, and supporters who shaped it.
Legacy isn’t just about medals — it’s about opening doors for the next generation.
